I am asking for a friend. He is not a vegan but he is vegetarian so he is having trouble deciding on what to go with for his gains. He started working out during Covid-19 and made a lot of progress but has stalled and he thinks it is because his diet is lacking enough protein. For anyone familiar with vegetarian protein powders, are they just as effective as standard ones?
Is this for meals or supplements? This is in the meals section so I want to clarify.
My brother is a vegan so he always has to find alternatives but he is also in very good shape. He has no issue putting on muscle. I am not entirely sure what he uses but I know he eats a lot of beans.
