I read that an 8 ounce chicken breast will provide about 70 grams of protein. Anytime I see chicken breast at the shop, it seems to me labeled as much lower. I was considered giving eating 2x large chicken breasts a day to hit close to 150 grams and then fill out the rest with things like eggs, cheese, and beans. Is this reasonable to up my protein intake?
And how do I find chicken breast with guaranteed protein levels?
Most chicken is similar unless you get chicken that was fed a special quality diet. I wouldn't overthink it too much and just go based on the average per weight. You can always get extra protein via things like beans to help your meals stretch a bit further.
If you can get from local farmers, it is better. The chicken quality tends to be better when the chickens themselves are better cared for, same with eggs. I don't think this is as much of an issue here vs somewhere like America where their food is heavily industrialized because of the population and country size.
