I was looking into hemp protein as I think it does have health benefits outside of muscle gains which a lot of people that are vegan or vegetarian look for...
But I am also reading that it can increase estrogen levels which for a man looking to put on muscle, sounds counter-productive. Won't raised estrogen levels lead to fewer gains and more fat storage or is hemp protein not the same as just general hemp consumption?
I looked into this myself.
So hemp protein comes from the seeds themselves. These do not contain any sort of estrogen in them. They do not contain any phytoestrogens either which is what mimics estrogen in the body and causes levels to raise. You won't need to worry about this at all.

Huh, I was not aware of this. I assumed it was the same. I figured the seeds would be a more concentrated version as well. And yeah phytoestrogens, I remember reading about these and this was the main issue with hemp. Thanks for this information. I am a lot less worried now.
