I was overwhelmed when I first started doing meal prep but after understanding the fundamentals and actually going batch cooking, it is so much easier.
For those of you who do not know, batch cooking is making a large amount of a single protein at a time to fill out a week (or more if you freeze them) of meals. I mostly do this with chicken and fish but I am going to give turkey a go just to give me another protein option. Beef would be nice to have more but at the current prices, I am only able to enjoy it a few times a week.
Do you batch cook your protein for the week?
I have not done meal prep yet but I have been reading more about it. I think you are right with this. Doing batch cooking seems like it would save you time, guesswork, and money in the long run too. You buy more at once and that tends to save you vs getting smaller quantities of things, especially when it comes to meat and veg.
