I already lost all the fat I want to. I still have some but I read it is better to start with a little bit of fat when wanting to gain muscle.
That being said, someone told me awhile back that cardio is still good to do whilst weight training for muscle gains but this was a number of years ago. I don't talk to him anymore and I don't know if this holds any truth to it or not.
If I just focus on weight training and don't do cardio at all, will it matter? Or is it best to do both?
I know a lot of people believe it kills progress but that isn't true. If you do it correctly, it will not only aid in growth but also recovery. LISS or HIIT is what you want to focus on.
Low-Intensity Steady-State exercises include things like swimming, walking, riding a bike, etc. and are great for days you are not lifting.
HIIT is something most people are familiar with by now and this is good for conditioning and can be done the same day, just focus on shorter time frames i.e. less than 20 minutes.
