So I have to work out at home. I am not able to keep paying for the gym membership atm. I am looking into what I can get at home for working out. Ideally nothing too expensive and something that can be tucked away as I only have a small area to workout in. Any suggestions?

I am looking into stuff myself. I am thinking of just investing in a doorway bar pull and a set of basic hand weights. I know they make compact home systems but they are too expensive IMO. I do wish I enjoyed going to the gym more. It would make it a lot easier for me if I did!

What are your goals? Which muscle groups do you want to work on the most?

You can do body-weight exercises for a lot of them when first starting out. If you want to focus on arms, chest, and back then I would first invest in a good set of hand weights. You really can't go wrong with that. This is where most people start. They sell compact systems that you can adjust the weight for as you make progress too.

I guess yeah I want to mainly focus on my upper body. Weights probably do make the most sense. Which brands would you recomend?

Also what about one of those doorway pull-up bars? Are those any good or not worth it?
