In terms of putting on weight for muscle aka bulking, which carbs are best for this? I would imagine ones that contain protein but not very many do contain it. I have looked into this a lot myself. I know rice, potatoes, beans, and pasta tend to be up there. Bread is mixed depending on what kind you eat. Some of them are too loaded with sugar imo.
Potatoes are fairly good, especially if you eat the skins. Pasta is fine, especially if it is fortified. Bread tends to have a lot of sugar so I would avoid that if you are trying to keep lean. I don't eat much bread or dough myself.
